Adding a Warmth and Depth to Modern Recordings
With today’s recording technology and its affordability, it’s never been a better time to record your own album in the comfort of your home. You can take as many takes as you’d like to get the perfect track and you aren’t being charged by the hour in a commercial studio. Then, you can mix, master and release the tracks when you’re ready.
But, do you find something’s missing when you listen back to your mix? A “depth,” a “warmth,” or “punch?” Nothing can quite emulate the sound of running your tracks through real analog gear. You might hear this called mixing “out of the box.”
Bring that analog feel to your digital recordings by engaging me in your project. With over 20 years of experience, and analog gear on the rack, I'd love to help you take your tracks from a great demo to a finished product. Click the “Services and Pricing” link for more information and pricing.
Analog equipment includes pieces by Solid State Logic, Manley, Neve, API, Empirical Labs, Universal Audio, Focusrite and others.
1. Contact: Send me a message through the contact page. Let me know the details of your project (number of songs, track count, genre, etc.).
2. Send Files: I'll get in touch with you by email regarding how to send me your tracks. This can be done by sending .wav stem files.
3. Pre-Mix Call: Once I've reviewed and listened to your project, we will set up a brief Zoom or phone call to go over the specifics of your project. I want to make sure we're clear on your goals and that I have an understanding of the sound you're going for.
4. Delivery: I can turn most tracks around within 4-5 days, depending on the size and scope of the project. You can hear the most recent version of your mix through a customized link I send to you. I include 3 mix revisions to make sure you're happy with the finished product!
Over the past 20 years, I've built a mixing and mastering suite in Liverpool, NY. Growing up using analog gear, I wanted to maintain an analog workflow while enjoying the benefits that digital audio workstations bring. Also recording and mixing my own material for years, I bring a tireless attention to detail to the mixing process. I also study under mixing engineer David Vignola who has helped me build my mixing studio while honing my craft. Please check out David's site at www.MixingMusicAnalog.com.
When not mixing, you can find me performing as a solo acoustic act across the Central New York area professionally. You can find out more about that by visiting www.BrianAlexanderMusic.com.
Additionally, I write instrumental music for commercial opportunities and have over two decades of experience in music production, fleshing out ideas and demos into full productions. If you're interested in having me add parts to your project, just click here.
